New display picture!

Remember this post? I used that picture for a new display picture on this blog. Like it?

I had to edit/crop it a bit because of the ugly background.

Note to self: try to think of a good background when pictures of me are taken.

I admit it, I'm such a goth. Well, sometimes. People like to think I am always, but often I just can't follow the way those people think. How on earth are some of the clothes I sometimes wear gothic? I love colour very much, but usually (read: something more of the past, and I'm working on it) I just feel more confident wearing dark clothes. Bright colours make me feel very big.

Your shoe laces are black. Gothic!

Movie: Avatar 3D

Today I went to the movie Avatar (3D) for the second time.
Reviews are quite hard for me to do, so I'm not going to even try to make this blogentry longer than a few paragraphs. Anyway, this really is one of my favourite movies. I will definately buy the special edition(?) DVD when it comes out. I'm not a big fan of digital animations, because it  usually looks very unreal, unlife-like. But here, well, I barely remembered it was digitally animated at all. Of course, the technique used (motion capture and computer generated image) which makes the images much more believable and lifelike, but still.
Of course, it's not perfect, I mean we all understand these creatures aren't real (how I wish they were) and of course you can kinda see it. I wonder how the images would look like if this technique was used to make human characters. How perfect would they look? (Of course it would be silly to make actors do stuff and then generate the images by computer, but you know what I mean)

Oh well, it's just a bloody amazing movie. Go see it!

New Last.fm pictures and (old) avatars.

I was editing my Last.Fm profile yesterday, when I realised I wanted something new for the pictures. So I took some photographs and edited them for this. I used photoshop CS3 and my tablet.

These are all from photographs I took myself.

Old pictures:

New pictures:

Transparency, how I love thee.

I'm not satisfied with the "blog"/torn paper yet. The letters look fake even though I actually wrote it on paper before taking a picture. The brown/burn/smoke marks aren't all that bad I think, I did those in photoshop. Still it looks too "made" to me.

Also, I changed my old avatar to a newer one, although that one has become old too.

Less old:

Yes, these are both my own eye :)
