Back, moved and anew!

Hello everyone!

A quick update to tell you I have moved my blog and joined it together with my other two blogs on my personal website www.ArtByInora.com/ ! I will be updating the website and all it's features soon and hopefully I will see you around over there!

Unfortunately I have decided I should probably best post there in Dutch, but perhaps, if there are people wanting me to, I will occasionally post in English as well.

I'm really proud of myself, because today I have added a LOT of things to my online portfolio, the ArtByInora website!

Header 07

Today I've been fiddling with some photographs from the 26th of June. I made another header, as you might have noticed.

This is the first version. I know it's a bit big, it should be broader and less high. But still, I like it.

Second version, already getting a bit better but still not broad enough.

Third and for now, the final version :) (might still be better if it was more broad?)

I also made a big banner, don't know if/how I'll use it, though. At the moment it's my wallpaper :P

DaWanda Webshop now officially open!

I listed my first item in my DaWanda webshop today! Go check my webshop out.

Dawanda pt. 2

I've been working on the webshop again today. I added a header, like it? It's just a quickie, but it'll do for now :) I wish I could work with illustrator, but I've got no idea how to properly use the program. And at the moment I just don't have the time or patience for tutorials. We'll see.

Website back online, well, kinda. Pt. 2

You can again find my website under the link of www.artbyinora.com, but it will show as a different link. You will most probably experience some 404 errors, but please be patient and click on the tab you would like to view because the pages DO work. There's just some problems with the page you are directed to when you're first going to the website, and also the About Me page gives some problems, but just click again if you get an error, because it will work the second time.

I wish things would just work out.
And they will, eventually :)

DaWanda

Today I finally got round to do something about that webshop I've been talking about. Still, nothing really to show you. I did add a Dawanda widget to my blog (you can find it in the vertical menu on the right). And I've been reading a lot and editting my profile on DaWanda, etc. I'm so eager to put some items in my shop!

Website down

Something went wrong when changing hosts, so at the moment unfortunately my website redirects to a page of my boyfriends :( I hope this will be fixed soon, but it's nothing we can do much about, except wait until things are being solved by the hosting company.

Sadly I don't even know how long this has been -_-

Update & Header 06

I've been wanting to post more blog entries, but unfortunately things got in the way. At the moment I'm eager to post, but since my website is down for a little while (changing hosting sites, something went wrong, it's now redirecting wrongly) I can't put watermarks on my pictures for the blog, either. (my boyfriend built something for that, but it comes with the website). So, for now... A little more time of nothing. I'll see if I can think of things I don't need to watermark when posting here.

Oh, and I've been experimenting with a photograph for another banner, like it? I think I should try to make banner differently, though, since now I only use one picture that I edit a little, instead of putting more things in it (and I've only used my photography things and no other art forms so far). I'll be thinkin on it.

I tried to make the text more easy to read by adding a white background. Does it really work? Should I make it less transparent? Or do you think it's not that bad without one?

I'm not sure at all about the extra text, though. I could name more art forms, but it seems silly. Especially since my online portfolio is so very empty! 2D sounds... just not right, but I do a lot more than just paint and pencil work. The jewellery and photography seemed obvious so I put those two on their own.

I'll probably change this header again, soon.

Easy Blogging

It's time to make blogging more easy for myself! I'm actually going to try to post more often, and more about inspiring things, sometimes just a (music)video, lyrics, a picture, a link, whatever~

Crafting, Thoughts and Pictures.

Another day spent by mostly crafting jewellery and watching some episodes of Waking The Dead and Star Trek - The Next Generation. It's silly how fast a day goes by, and how easily I feel like I don't do very much even though I didn't sit still all day. Again I made a bunch of necklaces and bracelets, and I just can't get a satisfying feeling, I need to make more, more, more and more! Maybe I need a little break from crafting and do some other things like updating my blog or toying around with a lay-out for my website, or with the information, texts and even pictures I want to put on my website. If I'm going to try to sell my jewellery at Queen's Day and thereby try to promote my own work and hope to win some visitors (and customers!) on my website, I need to show something on there! Or else it won't do much good urging people to visit my website, will it? ;)

As I said, I've been crafting today... I love these pearly beads I got last week! I've got a few varieties in colour, and I might decide on buying more. I've still got quite a few of them left though, so I'll see if I can find another nice technique of working with wire :)

Here's a picture of my working space, and one of my bed. I put all the jewellery I've already finished on it. I still have a lot of things to finish though, and there's even more I still want to start making!
I don't think it'll ever be enough :P

About blogging.

Well then, I have decided.
Although I originally wanted this blog to be just about my art and crafts (this meaning it's about anything I make, not just finished pieces but also the little things, the sketches, the WiP's) and things that inspire me. But, well, I kinda realised that 1# I would like it to be more. And, #2, perhaps my blog should be interesting to more people than just the ones interested in little sketches etc. With this I mean that I want to have this blog be about my life, and not just "this is what I made today". I'm not sure yet what I should do about the antedating of my blogentries. If I'm going to really use this as a BLOG instead of a sort of Archive, well, then antedating my messages doesn't really fit within that idea. But then again, I'm not sure if I can keep up updating everyday. So I guess I'll try to post more often, but there will be antedated messages as well. I'll do my best to keep these to a minimum (which means I'll have to post a lot, quickly. There's stuff waiting to be posted, you know.)

Anyway, why did I all of a sudden think of this? Well, my boyfriend (and I) has (have) been working on my website for a while now, and I'm very eager to see this finished soon. I will have a blog on my website, but then I thought, why have THREE blogs??? (actually, 4. I've got this blog about my art, the other blog about schoolwork even though that's on hiatus, and then there's Livejournal, and last but not least the one I'd be keeping on my website). So, I'll probably keep LJ for the really deep stuff, schoolblog for school (if school thinks it's necessary to keep things separated). And THIS blog will be integrated on my website, so that's two in one go. :)

Another header. I was bored with the snowy one. I'm looking very much forward to Spring! (I know this isn't exactly a very Srping-y picture, but at least it hasn't got snow in it :P)

Ah! I knew there was something I forgot: The signature. Well, that will have to wait until tomorrow evening or later.

Header 03

It's been snowing again...

I made another header with a picture from my Winter Garden Wonderland photoshoot. To be honest, I don't like the text, it looks too smooth. But I'm too tired to do much about it.

Turns out, I forgot my signature. Damn. Well, better next time.

I still don't like the smooth text anyway. And the signature is a bit too grey, methinks.

Museum Trips

When starting this blog I decided not only to show you some of my work, but also to tell about the museums I visited, or post about things that inspire me, that interest me.
Now, I've only yet done the former, and not yet the latter. This will change.
Not only will I post about the museums I visit from now on, but I'm also planning to post a short blog entry about the museums I've visited in the past (the last two years I think). Just so you know.

Header 02

I present to you, the new header.

I like it. Very much so.

I do realise it's a bit big, but then again, bigger is better, right? :P I'll see to it the next header won't be even bigger.

Oh, this is from my series of winter photographs I was telling you about in a different post. You'll find out more about the pictures soon.

Like the title says.
I rather liked the previous one, but since I've had my hair dyed red for the first time two months ago, I thought I should change my picture.

The picture was edited only a little, preventing my hair to look orange instead of it's real colour: bright red. My webcam simply cannot handle the colour, haha.

Blog Header 01

I finally editted the Header for my school blog to a header for this blog, hooray. The picture is from my Autumn Walk. Also, I edited the lay-out colours to match with the header.

But I think I will soon be making another one, as I made some lovely photographs last week.

I seem to be sketching and drawing and doing anything creative a lot less than I was hoping for. Oh well.
